San Miguel is mostly a walking city, however, there are cabs all around town. Please be prepared to pay the drivers in pesos as they do not take credit cards.
There are various ATM machines around town where you will be able to withdraw pesos.
Uber is also an option in the city.
Walking has always been our main method of transportation. It is a great way to see the beautiful town of San Miguel.
1. Passport: Make sure your passport is valid! Many airlines will not allow you to leave the country if it expires within 6 months of your departure.
2. Warm Layers: San Miguel gets chilly at night, much like Colorado. The city is located in the mountains, and not the beach. Expect warm temperatures during the day (mid 70s) and cool at night (low 60s).
3. Comfortable Shoes: Please bring comfortable shoes for navigating the cobblestone streets of San Miguel! High heals are tricky on the cobblestone streets and uneven surfaces. Please note, the ceremony will be outside on a lawn.
4. Altitude: San Miguel is 6,234 feet of elevation, so be sure to stay hydrated!
